The People's History of the NHS is an online museum where staff and patients can post memories of their connection to the health service.

The website also contains images of nursing through the decades, including cartoons from the 1950s, and photographs of nurses who were part of the Medical Campaign Against Nuclear Weapons in the 1980s (pictured).

Nurses and members of the public are invited to bring along NHS-related items – from baby tags and NHS glasses to false teeth – to an event at the People’s History Museum in Manchester on 11 August.

Any items brought along may be photographed and posted on the virtual museum website, which is funded by the Wellcome Trust.
