Weight-loss drugs Wegovy and Mounjaro: what nurses need to know

Injections of weight-loss drugs semaglutide (Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro) are gaining traction. The UK government has even suggested they could help get some obese people who are unemployed back into work. Both drugs are self-administered weekly by injection via a pre-filled pen. We look at availability through the NHS, as well as effectiveness, side effects and which patient groups a Wegovy or Mounjaro prescription might not be suitable for.
