As a snap general election is announced, Jane Bates wants to know why the NHS is not being given the same political priority as Brexit

'What about the NHS?' says Jeremy. 'Things are getting to breaking point, and I mean breaking point.'

'Never fear,' replies Theresa. 'I’ll call a snap general election. That will keep the press and the people busy for a while, and put off the day we have to tackle it. Brexit worked, didn't it? And Donald Trump was like all our Christmasses come at once.'

Meanwhile in Scotland, Nicola is thinking: 'The NHS. How do we sort it? I know – diversion tactics. I'll demand another referendum on Scottish independence. That'll keep the press and the people busy for a while. And thank goodness for Donald
