All nurses have to revalidate with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) every three years.

What is revalidation?

Revalidation is the process through which nurses, midwives and nursing associates maintain their registration with the NMC.

It applies to bank and agency nurses as well as those who are employed on a permanent contract, and even if you are due to retire soon after your revalidation date, you still have to complete it to keep practising.
