Sometimes people believe that they have healthcare rights that in fact do not exist, and being able to demand a specific treatment is a common one.
Considering treatment options is a key part of the clinical decision-making process. After this process, one or more treatment options may be offered to the patient, but a healthcare practitioner can only offer a treatment that they believe has a discernible benefit for their patient.
