Saying no: how do I stop being a people pleaser as a nurse?

Nurses who find it difficult to say no to extra tasks out of the urge to people please or always be helpful run the risk of burnout. Experienced nurse Liz Charalambous gives her advice to nurses who can’t say no, recognising it is an easy trap to fall into. By valuing yourself both in and out of work, drawing boundaries and following simple tips to ensure you only say yes to things you have the will and capacity to do, nurses can protect themselves from being overworked.
