Time for a Change, my second novel, whose main character is a nurse in Belfast and Derry, will be published later this year.

I tried to make the book inspirational but realistic, describing the lives and experiences of a group of young people – the main characters are nurses – during the swinging sixties, although those who remember will be aware that in Northern Ireland the 1960s were anything but swinging.

Yet while much has been written about the Troubles in Northern Ireland, the focus of this book is on the resilience and optimism of the characters. They are trying to live ordinary lives during extraordinary times.
