The PSA oversees ten healthcare regulators, including the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the General Medical Council, and its ultimate aim is to keep the public safe.
Ms Braithwaite covers the requirements of regulation, which include ensuring registrants are competent and of good conduct, setting and ensuring standards and maintaining public confidence.
