Jeremy Corbyn and Tim Farron to address RCN congress - but Tories yet to confirm speaker

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron will address this year's RCN congress in Liverpool.
Congress begins this Saturday and runs until 17 May. Delegates from around the UK will debate issues affecting nurses and healthcare.
In a blog post, RCN general secretary Janet Davies said: 'I’m pleased to announce that two of the three main UK party leaders will attend this year’s congress in Liverpool.
'The Labour and Liberal Democrat leaders will speak about their vision for healthcare. We hope a Conservative Party speaker will also be able to join us.
'This is a fantastic opportunity for you, our members, to scrutinise the manifestos of each party and ask the leaders where they stand on key nursing issues ahead of the general election on 8 June.'
What time or day the political leaders will speak to delegates is yet to be announced.
The RCN is due to reveal the results of an online pay poll at congress. It asked college members whether they would consider strike action over capped and below-inflation pay rises during the past seven years.
Last week, the college unveiled five key pledges that it wants UK political parties to sign up to in the college's nursing manifesto.
Voters in the general election need to make sure they are registered before 22 May to be eligible.
