Doctors say advanced nurses being used to fill medical rota gaps
The British Medical Association says data show advanced clinical practitioners including nurses are being used to fill gaps in medical rotas, ‘blurring professional lines’ and putting patients at risk. The BMA reveals figures from Freedom of Information requests, as nurse leaders state that highly skilled advanced nurses are not substitutes for any profession.
