RCNi receives prestigious media award

Editorial team behind Nursing Standard and nine specialist journals awarded silver in the Content Team of the Year category at British Media Awards.

Journalists at RCNi, which produces Nursing Standard and nine specialist nursing journals, as well as their corresponding websites, have received an industry award for their work.

The team scooped silver in the Content Team of the Year category at the annual British Media Awards last night at London's Hilton, Park Lane.

'The British Media Awards are the finest accolades you can achieve in media,' said the judging panel chair, Briefing Media co-founder Neil Thackray.

Impressive shortlists

BBC News at Ten anchor Fiona Bruce hosted the awards ceremony, which presented impressive shortlists across 18 categories.

The Financial Times, The Times and the Sunday Times, New Scientist and BBC Worldwide were among the winners.

RCNi is also in the running for further accolades at the Association of Online Publishers Digital Publishing Awards at the end of June.

The content team has been nominated for Digital Editorial Team of the Year, while RCNi assistant editor Stephanie Jones-Berry is shortlisted for Digital Journalist of the Year.
