Nursing Live, a celebration of nursing, opens today
Our two-day celebration is packed with events including masterclasses for nurses at every stage of their career – and free tickets are still available

Event venue ACC Liverpool, on the city’s waterfront, will open its doors to nurses across the country this morning, with RCN chief nurse Nicola Ranger opening proceedings with a talk on the main stage.
The first-of-its-kind event run by RCNi will feature more than 100 expert talks, clinical demonstrations, musical entertainment, free yoga sessions and even a sneak look at the new national uniform for nurses in England.

If you do not yet have your free ticket you can simply turn up on Friday or Saturday and register on site to enjoy a day packed with masterclasses for nurses at every stage in their career.
Author welcomes opportunity to express gratitude to nurses
Joining the host of influential speakers is one of the country’s best-loved children’s authors, Michael Rosen, who will share the story of his near-death experience with COVID-19 and the support he received from nurses.
He said: ‘Nursing Live will give me another opportunity to express my gratitude to thousands of nurses, face to face.’
He will be sharing the main stage with Queen’s Nursing Institute chief executive Crystal Oldman, Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) chief executive Andrea Sutcliffe and chief nursing officer (CNO) for England Ruth May.
If getting practical is more appealing, why not head to one of the five ‘Learning Labs’ to take part in a workshop and learn new nursing skills.
Friday’s events will culminate in the exciting announcement, at Liverpool Cathedral, of this year’s winners at the RCN Nursing Awards 2023, which received a record number of entries from across all nursing fields in face of all the challenges facing the profession.

AstraZeneca will host four seminars to shed light on chronic health conditions
On Saturday the creator of the Talking With Cancer podcast, Katie Phillips, will host a workshop, as will Jenny Clarke, mother of Game of Thrones actress and RCN ambassador Emilia Clarke, who founded the SameYou charity, which campaigns for better rehabilitation for patients following brain injury.
