It provides a comprehensive description of the strategies and techniques adopted in this research approach, but acknowledges its limitations by providing no in-depth account of the philosophical underpinnings of grounded theory. For this, readers must look to other texts on grounded theory, not least the seminal works by Glaser and Strauss.
