Nominations open for nurse leadership award
Nominations have opened for the Sue Pembrey Award for Nurse Leadership 2017.
The prize, run by the Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS), recognises the role clinical leaders play in creating person-centred and high-quality nursing care.
The award is predominantly aimed at band 6 and 7 nurses, who work as ward managers, sisters, charge nurses, community team leaders or care home managers.
The foundation said it was looking for excellent role models to be put forward for consideration.
Don’t delay
Nominations close at 5pm on 17 August, and can be made by visiting the FoNS website.
During her life, nursing leader Dr Pembrey supported the academic development of clinical nursing and the development of nursing practice through the strengthening of the ward sister's leadership role.
