Baby death leads to renewed call for regulation of ‘nurse’ title
Coroner issues prevention of future deaths report calling for regulation of use of the nurse title, following inquest into the death of the baby grandson of football manager Steve Bruce. The infant died after being placed in ‘unsafe sleeping position’ in his cot by an unregistered individual hired as a maternity nurse.
