Nursing Live takes place at the ACC Liverpool on 23-24 October and will celebrate all things nursing, with a focus on continuing professional development
Nursing Live is to return to Liverpool this autumn, with two days of continuing professional development (CPD) available for nurses to clock up.
Set on the waterfront at ACC Liverpool, the unique event will open its doors for the second year in a row to celebrate all things nursing.
Free two-day nursing celebration on 23-24 October with more than 160 speakers
The free two-day event will focus on the professional and personal development of nurses at every stage of their career, bringing together talks, workshops and interactive sessions for students, leaders, newly qualified and internationally trained nurses.
Taking place on 23 and 24 October, it will also feature clinical demonstrations, free yoga lessons, self-care and well-being sessions along with musical entertainment from the Nursing Live choir.
With more than 160 speakers, this RCNi event counts towards your CPD and is designed for all nurses, regardless of specialty, experience or background; whether you work in the NHS, independent sector or across health and social care.
Career opportunities, clinical demonstrations and health and well-being masterclasses are all on offer
RCNi managing director Rachel Armitage said: ‘Nursing staff who attend our two-day celebration of nursing will discover a wealth of professional development and career opportunities, clinical demonstrations and health and well-being tips from masterclasses and experts.
‘Attendees will be well placed to explore everything from the latest healthcare tech to dynamic job opportunities through our different exhibition zones, while our workshops, presentations and panel discussions will explore key nursing topics.’
Joining the host of influential and inspiring speakers will be nurse Emily Moorhourse, who will be sharing her story of battling severe burnout and how she returned to work.
Safe staffing discussion, plus workshops on mental health, Martha’s rule and CV support
Newly appointed RCN general secretary Nicola Ranger will be in discussion with RCN Institute of Nursing Excellence director Professor Jane Ball about safe staffing levels and protecting patients, while workshops will be on offer to learn more about Martha’s rule, pain management and mental health support of students.
There will also be sessions on nutrition, sleep and stress management. Nurses will even be able to book a one-to-one session to get support with their CV.
