Acne Causes and Practical Management

This book is a detailed exploration of acne, which seems to be aimed at dermatology specialists.

It includes a description of the three types of acne, as well as its pathophysiology and treatment.

The text is written by a US dermatologist who comes across as having a passion for the subject area, and holds strong opinions about the effects of acne on the individual and some of the more controversial theories about the development and treatment of the condition, particularly concerning the role of diet. The personal approach is compelling, with some discussion written in the first person.

One word of warning: the perspective, language and description of treatments are written for a US readership.
