Nursing Standard publisher RCNi is looking for a new chair.

RCNi, formerly known as RCN Publishing, produces ten specialist nursing journals and its flagship journal Nursing Standard – the UK's highest selling weekly publication for nurses.

The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the RCN.

The new chair will be appointed by and be accountable to the RCN Council. They will be tasked with providing the board with clear leadership as well as holding the managing director to account.

The role is for two years, with the potential to extend to five years. The successful candidate will need board-level experience and a clear understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, liabilities and responsibilities of non-executive directors.

The chair will be required to dedicate approximately two days a month to the role.
