The information provided relates to my current practice and I found that having a variety of authors provided a range of perspectives.

This book has several strengths. It promotes values-based practice, which is an important aspect of the nursing role. It is also an exciting resource for anyone working in mental health care.

The book taught me a lot about the history of rehabilitation, where it began in the hospital environment and the later move into the community. Since reading it I plan to widen my knowledge of rehabilitation and to share it with my colleagues.

My overall response is that it is a fascinating and memorable read. This publication has a nurse focus and I would recommend it to colleagues, fellow nurses and students.
