This informative textbook provides a clear and concise introduction to the principles and practice of palliative care in nursing and healthcare. It is easy to read and understand and covers a broad range of topics.
There is good use of case studies and reflections throughout helping to engage readers and aid them to work through difficult situations.
The final chapter on support for practitioners in palliative care is particularly useful. It covers a good range of topics and identifies ways to support yourself and others.
Value for money
I highly recommend this book. It is good value for money and all libraries should stock it as a key text. Although aimed at nurses and health professionals in palliative care, it would be useful for all healthcare professionals.
It is also a good text for nursing students seeking to become familiar with the principles surrounding palliative care.
