The British National Formulary (BNF) is essentially the bible for prescribed medication in the UK, with key information on the selection, prescribing, dispensing and administration of medicines.

A joint publication from the British Medical Association and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, it aims to provide prescribers, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals with sound up-to-date information about the use of medicines. There is also a separate version for paediatrics, called the BNF for Children.
