Clinical Editor (Nursing Standard)

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (35 per week)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Location: The Heights, Harrow
Department: Editorial
Reporting to: Evidence & Practice Editor

Summary

Do you have a keen eye for detail, the ability to meet deadlines and a passion for improving the quality of nursing care in the UK and around the world?

If the answers are ‘yes’ then this job could be for you.

Nursing Standard is seeking a clinical editor who can help us maintain and improve the quality of our peer-reviewed content online and in print, and in turn help nurses deliver better outcomes for those in their care.

Knowledge of nursing or healthcare is desirable but not essential. More important are evidence of strong editing skills, enthusiasm to learn and grow, and willingness to work in a team to get the job done. We are particularly interested in candidates who have digital publishing skills.

This is not a management position, but ideally you will have some experience of managing others or leading a team. If not and you’re up for the challenge, then we’ll teach you how.

In return we’ll give you a highly competitive salary, generous annual leave allowance and a friendly working environment in our Harrow office, just 15 minutes from Baker Street or Marylebone.

Please see the role description and person specification for further details. To apply, please email your CV and supporting statement to hr@rcni.com by the specified closing date. Your supporting statement must be presented using our template.

If you are invited to interview, please be prepared to bring examples of your work for us to see.

For further information or to set up an informal conversation about the role, please email tanya.fernandes@rcni.com
