It publishes original research, clinical and policy updates, descriptions of practice, audits, service evaluations, literature reviews, case studies and shorter opinion articles.

It also publishes continuing professional development articles to inform, support and educate nurses working in this specialty, and to help them prepare for revalidation.

If you have an idea for an article or how to develop the journal online or in print, the editorial team want to hear from you. We are particularly interested in the following areas:

Lisa has worked in healthcare publishing for many years. She joined RCNi as assistant clinical editor of Nursing Standard in 2001, and became editor of Nursing Older People in 2009.

Zena AldridgeZena Aldridge

Consultant editor
FRSA, MA, RNMH

Zena Aldridge joined Nursing Older People as consultant editor in 2022. She advises and writes for the journal as well as holding a portfolio of roles in the NHS, NHS England and NHS Improvement, and Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board. She is also honorary visiting researcher at both Newcastle University and University of Bradford. Zena's specialist interests include dementia care, palliative and end of life care, continence management, case management and biopsychosocial care, as well as service integration and quality improvement.

We are the life long learning partner for nurses and the whole nursing team.
