RCN Foundation offers nurses up to £5,000 in bursaries
Nurses can apply for grants and awards in a range of activities that support their learning and development.
Nurses can apply for bursaries of up to £5,000 to support their educational learning and development through the RCN.
The RCN Foundation professional bursary scheme supports nurses in activities such as postgraduate university study or professional short courses.
Applications are welcome from nurses who would like to focus on primary care nursing and long-term or chronic conditions.
The foundation will fund projects on a number of issues including:
- Obesity
- Mental health
- Children and young people’s services
- Older people
- Dementia
Scholarship
The RCN Foundation Monica Baly bursary is awarded annually for the promotion of scholarship in nursing history.
The bursary is for a minimum of £300 and a maximum of £1,000, which the winner can use to undertake activities related to the history of nursing, including courses, projects or research.
The RCN Foundation Mair Scholarship awards up to £5,000 to occupational health nurses to enhance the high standard of practice in Scotland, through courses that will aid career progression and development in occupational health nursing.
Three grants providing up to £5,000 in funding will open for applications on 1 March until 30 May 2018.
