House of Common festival offering free tickets to London nurses
Nurses living in London are being offered free tickets to the House of Common music festival in a gesture of gratitude to the capital’s emergency and public sector workers.
Headlining
Madness are headlining the event on Clapham Common on Bank Holiday Monday, with acts including Soul II Soul, Dawn Penn, De la Soul and DJ Craig Charles also on the bill.
Now organisers are offering nurses, doctors, emergency services, police, fire fighters and teachers across London the chance to claim a free ticket to the event.

Headliners Madness said: ‘For the love of the common people, but especially the emergency services, you’ve been busy lately and we’d like you to come and let your hair down.
Great day off
‘Come to Clapham Common, on us, have a great day off then go back to looking after us all!
‘We thank you and appreciate you.’
Nurses will need to register their email address at the loveforthecommonpeople website for a free ticket, and ID is required to gain entry to the event.
Gesture of gratitude
A statement on the festival website reads: ‘London and its people continue to be the most incredible in the world.
‘The way our city pulls together time and time again is simply phenomenal – especially the way the emergency services react to protect the people who live in this great city.
‘As a gesture of gratitude, and to celebrate London’s ongoing brilliance, Madness are extending an extra special invitation to nurses, doctors, emergency services, police, the fire brigade and teachers across London to join the fun at this year’s House of Common festival free of charge.’
