Book of Remembrance: share your memories of nurses who lost their lives in COVID-19 pandemic

Online book is your chance to pay tribute to nursing staff who died

An online book of remembrance has been opened in memory of nursing staff who have died during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The book offers colleagues, patients and members of the public the opportunity to pay tribute to health and care workers who lost their lives. It has been produced by Nursing Standard in partnership with the RCN.

‘I hope this book will offer some comfort to the family and friends of those who have died, and reassurance they will never be forgotten’

Dame Donna Kinnair, RCN general secretary

In her foreword, RCN general secretary Dame Donna Kinnair says: 'Every life lost is a tragedy, and on behalf of everyone at the RCN, I would like to pay tribute to our colleagues who have died whilst caring for others and keeping them safe.

'I hope this online Book of Remembrance will become a lasting legacy that reflects the bravery and compassion of our nursing colleagues. I sincerely hope it will offer some comfort to the family and friends of those who have died, and a reassurance that they will never be forgotten.'
