Nursing Children and Young People journal, supported by the RCN’s Research in Child Health community, is launching the 2017/18 research awards.

Two awards of £750 are being offered to qualified nurses, undergraduate and postgraduate students. Funding will go to one qualified children’s nurse and one student.

Christine Walker, editor of Nursing Children and Young People, is encouraging nurses interested in research to apply. ‘Funding to attend conferences is often hard to come by and nurses need to promote their research, so this is a great opportunity,’ she said.

Applicants are required to submit an abstract describing either a research study based in their clinical practice area or a literature review. Abstracts focusing on research design, research methods or incomplete studies where results are not yet available will be accepted. Abstracts for undergraduate literature reviews are also eligible.

Abstract should be no longer than 350 words. Please contact your research or dissertation supervisor for support in writing the abstract. The closing date for submissions is Wednesday 28 February 2018
