From Light to Dark: The Story of Blind Dave Heeley

This book is an inspirational account of how the author coped with losing his sight at a young age.

It gives us an insight into the life of a blind person, and some of the day-to-day struggles encountered by those who cannot see. But most inspiring is how the author has used his lack of sight to help and support others with disabilities, and how he rediscovered his boyhood talent for running, entering the record books as the first – and to date the only – blind person to have completed seven marathons, in seven consecutive days, on seven different continents.

Blindness can affect anyone – from birth to old age – and this book shows what can be achieved with perseverance and determination.
