The Student Nurse Project is an online community that aims to bring students together without ever needing to meet in person.

It further reaches out to registered colleagues to offer advice and point students to clinical studies.

The project’s Twitter account has more than 3,700 followers and the associated website is full of interesting blogs penned by students at various points in their studies and placements.

Nursing Standard podcast sat down with two of the lead organisers, London South Bank University final year children’s nursing student Daniel Gooding and University of Southampton second year adult and mental health nursing student Jessica Sainsbury, to find out more.

The podcast also reveals a discount code for a Nursing Standard digital subscription.
