A hospital trust opening a 48 million emergency department will be among the employers keen to recruit nurses at the RCN Bulletin Jobs Fair in Manchester.

The free event takes place at Manchester Uniteds Old Trafford stadium on 9-10 February.

Among the exhibitors is University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The organisation needs to recruit nurses for a number of departments, including its new emergency floor, which the trust believes will be the first frailty-friendly facility of its kind in the UK.

The department, which is expected to open in the spring, was designed with input from the charity Age Concern and among its features will be cushioned floors to reduce the impact from falls.

On-the-spot offers

Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced clinician looking for a change of direction, RCN Bulletin Jobs Fairs are a great way to explore new opportunities. Nurses can be interviewed on the day, with many getting job offers on the spot. Topics of free seminars range from how to write the perfect CV and shine at job interviews, to revalidation.

There will even be a chance to take a selfie with the FA Cup, which Manchester United won at the end of last season. And there is a competition to win £250 in Marks and Spencer vouchers and a weekend away.
