Fears are growing for the safety of a missing Bristol nursing student who was last seen leaving a hospital placement 11 days ago.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary have today released CCTV images of the last confirmed sighting of 27-year-old Anna Lewis.

Ms Lewis, who studies at the University of the West of England and lives in Fishponds, was last seen leaving Southmead Hospital at 12.15pm on Thursday 13 April.

Out of character

Police say her disappearance is out of character and they are growing concerned for her welfare.

Bristol Investigations detective sergeant Nicholas Lawson said: 'Anna has been known to go on camping trips without telling others, but never for this amount of time.

'Were liaising with other police forces as part of our continuing enquiries.'

Ms Lewis is described as white, 5ft 5in to 5ft 6in, of slim build, with brown eyes and long dark brown hair, which she tends to wear in a low ponytail.

Detective Sergeant Lawson said: 'The clothing she tends to wear includes jeans or walking trousers, hiking boots, and loose jumpers.'
