Nursing student Owami Davies

Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a nursing student missing since the beginning of July.

Owami Davies, of Grays, Essex, left her family home on 4 July and was last seen at midnight in Derby Road, West Croydon, on 7 July.

Call for information

Detectives investigating her disappearance are extremely concerned for her welfare and are calling for anyone with information or who may have seen her on that night to come forward.

Police also asked that people in the West Croydon area check their sheds and outbuildings and report anything that looks suspicious.

Last seen in a vulnerable state

Detective constable Marie Spear from the south London missing persons unit said: ‘Owami's family have not heard from her for more than three weeks and she has not turned up to work.

‘We are treating this as a missing person investigation. Owami was in a vulnerable state when she was last seen and we need the public’s help in piecing together her movements on the night she went missing.

‘I would urge anyone who has seen her, or knows where she is, to contact police immediately.’

Anyone with information about Ms Davies' whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting reference 22MIS025307, or to contact the Missing People charity in confidence on 116 000.
