RCN Money Guide for Students shares tricks for canny money management

New nursing students can share cars to commute, buy secondhand books rather than new, and shop for discounts, a money guide advises.

The RCN's new Money Guide for Students has information about sources of funding and benefits for UK nursing students, as well as tips from former students. These include having a good relationship with the bank, getting a rail card and claiming fuel reimbursement.

It also advises students to shop affordably at local discount stores, using local markets and taking a packed lunch to lectures and placements.
