The Cavell Nurses’ Trust is calling on supporters to raise funds this Christmas to help the charity.

The organisation, which helps nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants who are in difficulty through both financial grants and advice, wants people to sign up to make a donation.

The charity has set out exactly how donations can support nurses from £5 to help towards transport for a nurse attending medical appointments to £120 for Nursing and Midwifery Council registration and £200 for replacement white goods for a nurse in financial crisis.

Helping hand

Those who sign up to monthly donations can become a founding member of Cavell Angels, a group of supporters whose opinions, insights and views will help shape the charity’s work.

Last year the Cavell Nurses’ Trust was able to help 1,400 nurses in difficulty.

The charity has also created a printable template of a Cavell Angel complete with charity logo supporters can put on top of their Christmas trees.
