The RCM is teaming up with Emma’s Diary, a website that provides advice for pregnant women and new parents.

Joint research

It already works closely with the website, which sponsors its annual Mums’ Midwife of the Year Award.

The alliance will lead to joint research among pregnant women and families to help the development of new resources. An RCM section will also be included in Emma’s Diary publications.

RCM director for midwifery Louise Silverton said: ‘We look forward to a fruitful partnership arrangement that will benefit our members and in turn, the women, babies and families that midwives care for.’
