Nurses will benefit from hit TV series Game of Thrones when one of its stars auctions an exclusive backstage pass in aid of the RCN's charity.
Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the epic fantasy, is offering a fan the chance to spend a day with her at the show's Belfast studio as part of her new role as RCN ambassador.

Proceeds from the auction will go to the RCN Foundation, which will use the funds raised to launch a programme of educational and research grants to support specialist nurses later this year.
The winning bidder will get to see the set where filming is taking place for the hotly-anticipated eighth series of the show.
Supporting nurses
Ms Clarke, who was announced as RCN ambassador at the weekend, said people should leap at the chance to help fund a new generation of specialist nurses.
‘They deliver innovative practice and care in all specialist areas to improve survival rates and reduce hospital stays,’ she said.
‘They also help those of us with long-term conditions to manage them so that we can live our lives to the full.
‘The vast majority of healthcare in our lifetime will come from nurses so join me in supporting the profession by donating,’ she added.
Huge difference
RCN Foundation head Deepa Korea said the organisation was grateful that Ms Clarke was using her star status to support nurses.
‘Her support and the funds raised will make a huge difference and enable us to strengthen significantly nursing in the UK,’ Ms Korea said.
The auction runs until 17 May on the online fundraising site Omaze.
