A powerful new voice for nursing

Mary Watkins will join the House of Lords as its fifth nurse peer. She has almost 40 years’ experience in the NHS and higher education, which she intends to use to influence healthcare and education policy to improve the lives of people with dementia and their carers, as well as children and nurses.
