As more and more material becomes available on the Web, many nurses and others are understandably confused by the variety of sites, their quality, and how they can evaluate what might be of use to them. Many have genuine concerns about the possible harm that may come to patients/clients or students of using potentially erroneous material found on the Web. Nursing Standard Online will, as a regular feature, provide reviews and evaluations of some of these sites to help nurses start to cut through some of the hype and confusion. We don’t intend to ‘badge’, ‘kitemark’ or ‘approve’ sites, but to provide independent peer reviews.
If you are interested in being one of our panel of reviewers or evaluators, if you have a Web site you would like us to review, or if you wish to join in discussions to evolve the review/evaluation criteria, then contact the Editor, Denis Anthony.
