60 seconds with Jason Warriner

Jason Warriner held senior nursing positions in the NHS before becoming clinical director at the Terrence Higgins Trust. He is also a former UK director of quality and clinical services at Marie Stopes International, and chair of the RCN public health nursing forum.

What are your main work responsibilities? As senior nurse for the organisation, my role involves clinical leadership, quality and governance, patient safety, financial management, service development and regulatory requirements.
How did you get your job? My wide range of experience in the NHS and charity sector gave me the necessary clinical and leadership skills. This is my third post as a director within the charity sector.
Who are your clients/patients? People living with HIV who may require a stay on our inpatient unit or access to day services and psychological support.
