The development of caring and compassionate professionals is the goal of all nursing education programmes and NHS trusts. This book covers compassionate and dignified care, the three-eye model, and the development of mindfulness and coaching skills.

The first chapters define and explore compassionate care and professionalism. The model requires nurses to examine their practice using three eyes: an analytical eye to examine how they may mis-care, an appreciative eye to see patients as individuals and adopt a mindful approach, and a creative eye to adapt to patients complex situations. The final section on mindfulness and coaching explains how to develop the appreciative and creative eyes.

The book would be suitable for individuals and libraries, and is a useful resource for education programmes.

The final section on mindfulness and coaching explains how to develop the appreciative and creative eyes.

The book would be suitable for individuals and libraries, and is a useful resource for education programmes.
