Anne Shaw has taken over as chair of North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust following three years as non-executive director at the trust.

She takes over from Dr Jim Whittingham, who is stepping down after six years in the post.

Past experience

Ms Shaw began her career as a staff nurse in A&E at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, and spent a decade teaching within the health and social care department of the Open University.

She said of her new role: 'My previous experiences as a non-executive director and my earlier career as a nurse will stand me in good stead for this inspiring and exciting role.

'The trust faces many challenges as we move forward with transforming our services while ensuring the highest quality of care we can for our patients.'
