Consultant editor of Nursing Management journal appointed

Assistant director of nursing at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, London, Barry Quinn has been appointed consultant editor of Nursing Management journal.

Assistant director of nursing at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, London, Barry Quinn has been appointed consultant editor of RCNi's Nursing Management journal.

Dr Quinn has worked for more than 30 years in healthcare, in hospitals and hospices and in the community sector in England and Ireland. He is the clinical lead at Chelsea and Westminster for end of life care, and leads on professional practice and multiprofessional research. He is also a senior lecturer at Kings College London and the University of Surrey.

Nursing and midwifery continues to need innovative and inspiring leadership, he said. As consultant editor, I will work to ensure that the journal continues to be a vehicle for disseminating best practice in leadership and the delivery of person-centred care.

‘Nursing and midwifery continues to need innovative and inspiring leadership,’ he said. ‘As consultant editor, I will work to ensure that the journal continues to be a vehicle for disseminating best practice in leadership and the delivery of person-centred care.

‘I will use my role to encourage nursing and midwifery leaders and managers to share their research and practice and to ensure the journal promotes the importance of leadership in our profession.’
