Big White Wall

This online community website is intended for people over 16 years of age who feel stressed, anxious and/or low in mood.

It gives 24-hour access to health professionals who offer therapy on a one-to-one basis, as well as access to an online community of people experiencing the same feelings.

The service is anonymous and the site includes self-assessment tools, interactive communication tools and online courses such as a course for sleep problems.

The NHS provides free access in some areas and it is free through universities; otherwise it costs £24 a month.

SilverCloud

SilverCloud is an online cognitive behavioural therapy course to support people over 16 years in the management of stress, anxiety and depression.

The eight-week course includes emotional health issues associated with long-term conditions. Access is through referral from the NHS only or some universities.

Chill Panda

The aim of this mobile app, which is being tested in the NHS, is to help children and adults to manage feelings of stress and worry.

The app measures heart rates – for information purposes only – and takes users through a series of breathing techniques and exercises to help control feelings of anxiety.

It is currently free to use through Google Play and Apple App store.
