WellChild nurse Aileen Crichton, who is to attend the royal wedding

Aileen Crichton, Elaine O'Brien, Jodie Hiscutt, Rhian Greenslade and Vicky Amiss-Smith are to attend alongside other guests and will represent the national charity for sick children, which Prince Harry is a patron of.

The couple have also invited 2,640 nominated people into the grounds of Windsor Castle to watch arrivals at the church reception and the carriage procession afterwards, as it departs from the castle.

Collective representatives

WellChild will have 40 representatives among them – including families who the charity supports – WellChild family ambassadors and nurses from across the UK.

An advanced nurse practitioner at Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock, Ms Crichton said: 'I’m very excited and looking forward to attending, and to meeting some of the wonderful families supported elsewhere by WellChild, who will also be there.

'I feel privileged to have this opportunity and am praying we get a nice day.'
