Nursing staff appraisals: how to prepare and what to expect

An annual appraisal is a chance for nurses to review the previous year with their manager, to give and receive feedback, and agree objectives and development needs for the coming year in their nursing role. For nurses on the NHS Agenda for Change contract, appraisals are also linked to pay rises.
