Eve Appeal launches nurse-led gynaecological cancers advice service
A new nurse-led information service will support women affected by or worried about gynaecological cancers.
Ask Eve, run by women’s cancer charity the Eve Appeal, is a free and confidential phone and email service that offers direct access to the charity’s gynaecological cancer nurse specialist Tracie Miles.
Ms Miles will be able to provide information and support on all five gynaecological cancers, and help women to discuss questions about signs and symptoms, risk factors and related issues such as genetic testing. The service also offers information on its Facebook page and through online health community Health Unlocked.
In time, the Eve Appeal hopes the service will be supported by additional nurse staff.
