The RCN Nursing Awards 2022 took place at the RCN headquarters in London on Thursday 6 October, with host Judi Love.

We are delighted to announce that the RCN Nurse of the Year 2022 is Alison Bunce from Ardgowan Hospice. Ms Bunce founded Compassionate Inverclyde, a community initiative that puts compassion and kindness first, coordinating services such as end of life companionship and ‘back home boxes’ for discharged hospital patients.  Read more about our Nurse of the Year.

A record number of votes were cast by the public for our Patient’s Choice winner, Sarah Malik, specialist information and support nurse at Compassion in Dying. Read more about our Patient’s Choice winner.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists of the awards, and to the outstanding efforts, commitment and achievements made by the whole of the nursing community.
