Patient's Choice Award Winner 2023
This award is an opportunity for members of the public to thank a nurse, midwife, health visitor, healthcare assistant or assistant practitioner who has made a difference to their or a loved one's care.
We are pleased to announce that this year's Patient's Choice Award winner is the Arches District Nursing Team, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.
The Arches District Nursing Team at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust received thousands of votes after being nominated for the 2023 Patient’s Choice award by Janette Connor.

This team has been nominated by Janette Connor. She says: ‘I have a rare disease that means I have over 200 skin ulcers dressed daily by the district nurses for the last two years.

Joan Pons Laplana has been nominated by Graham Rodgers who nearly died from a stroke due to Covid-19.
|Joan Newberry, Friends’ School Lisburn
Joan Newberry was nominated by Josh Hannigan who says she always goes above and beyond for him and all the other pupils at the Friends’ School Lisburn in Northern Ireland.

John and Eileen Hullett have nominated Chloe for her exceptional care of their son Johnny, who has cerebral palsy and profound learning disabilities.

Mental health staff nurse Chloe was nominated by Mizata Kamara for ‘changing her life and giving her the prospect of a future’.
