Your opportunity to thank a deserving nurse
This award is an opportunity for members of the public to thank a nurse, midwife, health visitor, healthcare assistant or assistant practitioner who has made a difference to their or a loved one's care.
The 2019 Patients Choice Award attracted thousands of votes from patients and members of the public.
The sheer number of votes alone demonstrates the importance of this award in recognising nurses achievements nationwide.
Who can I nominate?
Nominations are accepted from patients and members of the public only. Entries from nurses or colleagues of nurses will not be accepted. Nominees do not need to be a member of the Royal College of Nursing.
How do I submit an entry?
Entries must be submitted online via the enter now button. We highly recommend you write the body of your entry in a word document and then cut and paste it into the online entry form to prevent work being lost.

What happens next?
Finalists for this award will be chosen by our panel of judges and the winner will be decided on by public vote. Details on how to vote for the winner will be provided once the finalists have been announced.
As Patients Choice takes a slightly different format to our other categories, we will be announcing the finalists in August. We are currently finalising our plans, including how the winner will be decided, and will keep you updated as these develop. The winner will be announced at a virtual ceremony later in the year.
