NHS ProfessionalsThis award recognises and rewards the vital and ever increasing contribution bank nurses play in the overall nursing workforce on wards every day. The judges are seeking nominations for bank nurses / bank nursing teams who perform above what is considered as the 'norm' and who add value to the substantive team. Bank nurses and bank nursing teams may nominate themselves.

NHS Professionals, wholly owned by the Department of Health, was set up for the NHS by the NHS to manage temporary staff banks on behalf of more than 60 NHS Trusts across England. NHS Professionals help Trusts eliminate dependency on expensive agencies by filling shifts with fully compliant and appropriately skilled bank workers – reducing costs whilst also maintaining safe staffing levels and the quality of patient care. Community Nursing Award

Excellence in Cancer Research Award

Cancer Research UKThis award recognises and rewards the vital role that Clinical Research Nurses play in cancer clinical research, helping to discover new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve patient outcomes. The judges are seeking nominations from Clinical Research Nurses or research delivery teams who have demonstrated excellence in cancer clinical research. Nurses may nominate themselves, their team or be nominated by a colleague.

Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.
